I know I know... It's been a while... woopsy

SO MUCH TO CATCH UP ON!!! Okay, let's see if I can think that far back... DESTIN!!! Destin was so much fun. David ended up going with me down there which I absolutely loved. We got lost a couple times bc directions and I don't get along. We finally got there close to midnight. We met Kevin, Kristin, and David at The Boathouse. After that, we went to McGuire's Irish Pub. We had fun talking and laughing. Saturday, we got up and David H. cooked us breakfast (which was very good). Then we loaded up and my David, Kristin, and myself went to the beach while Kristin's David went to meet some of the Bay County (I think) Firefighters for lunch. The beach was so beautiful and it wasn't cold at all. EXCEPT FOR THE WATER!!! The water was FREEZING!! My David tried to get to go in but that definitely did not happen. Oh, SOMEBODY who shall remain nameless thought it was no big deal not to wear sunscreen. Hmmm... WONDER WHO THAT COULD'VE BEEN??? Anyways, after laying out for a while and the other David finally meeting up with us, we went back to the townhouse to shower and go to dinner. We ate dinner at The Crab Trap, which was amazing! We had the perfect view of the beach at sunset. Dinner was scrumptious. After dinner, we headed back to the townhouse to figure out what to do next. We were going to go to The Swamp to listen to 17th Floor. HOWEVER, Kristin and I were exhausted and David the Lobster was feeling pretty miserable (all his fault). We decided to stay in and watch a movie which was just as fun. Sunday, we got up and had David H.'s amazing breakfast. We cleaned up the townhouse and headed north. What a fun trip!! I'm so glad my David got to go! I know he had fun despite the whole being a lobster part ;) Last week is pretty much a blur. Tuesday I had traffic court for my tinted windows (that I no longer have) and not having proof of insurance. I walked into court at 4:45 and walked out... I KID YOU NOT... at 8:15 with $267.00 less than I had when I walked in. :( I missed my date with David (we were suppose to go to one of his fav restaurants, Cajun Steamers, and then to see Duplicity with Clive Owen and Julia Roberts). I was absolutely miserable and practically sobbing. Thursday, I made up for our date and took him to Cajun Steamers for his birthday and my first time eating there. It was REALLY good... kinda spicy... but REALLY good. Friday, we went to The Back Nine with Anna to have a few drinks and visit. It was fun for the most part, although I will NEVER drink 1 Crown & 7 and 4 Hurricanes in one night EVER AGAIN! Apparently I don't watch what comes out of my trap when I'm that intoxicated... who knew? Saturday, David and I ate dinner with his parents at their house (which was really yummy) and then went and saw THE SCARIEST MOVIE ever, The Haunting in Conneticut (sp?). It was sooooo scary. I thought I was going to jump out of my skin. LOL. Sunday, I went to church and then met David to go see what I THOUGHT was going to be my new boxer puppy, Mosley, but I ended up deciding that it was too early to go ahead and get a dog before knowing where I will be moving for graduate school. I will probably start looking again in June. Sunday night, David came over to my house and we ate some homemade pizza that Daddy made and watched Sum of All Fears (David hadn't seen it before). I gave him his birthday present that night which consisted of two king size reese's cups and his Braves' tickets hiding inbetween the two. He loved it. He told me that I hinted too much so he thought that I would probably get him the tickets, but he didn't know for sure. He was excited about the Reese's cups bc he had only mentioned it to me one time that those were one of his fav candy bars. Yesterday was his birthday. I went over to his parent's house for his birthday dinner where his mother cooked an amazing meal. We had a lot of fun. :)

I need sleep

Once I again, I'm at work going on four hours of sleep. It was worth it though. Last night was so much fun. I liked that the party was laid back. Watching Bo Burnham (sp?) was a lot of fun. Everyone who hadn't heard of him before ended up liking it for the most part. David said he was funny but not nearly as good as Kat Williams... Go Figure. Rachel was very entertaining last night. I wonder how much she's going to remember. David thought that she was hilarious in her condition. LOL! I hate that Laken and Jared didn't stay long, but they told me they weren't so I shouldn't have expected them to. I saw Paul too! I hadn't seen him in so long and I met his sweet girlfriend, Ashley, too. It was funny that Flip Cup only lasted three rounds... I guess it really was a chill night. The rest of the evening consisted of playing ALL PLAY on SCENE IT. I actually got a few of them... I was so proud of myself. LOL.

TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously can NOT wait. It's going to be an insane day. I have to be at work for UAB's Pay Day :P I'm so not looking forward to that. After that insane day at work, I'll have to drive 5 hours to get Destin. I really hope I make it before passing out and driving off the road. I can't wait to see Kristin, David, Matt, and Melea! We will have a blast for sure. :D

The Morning After...

I'm a very grateful that I am not hungover at the current moment. It would make today just awful. Instead, I only received 4 hours of sleep. Rachel, Katie, Freddie, and I went to eat at Makario's Mediterranean on 20th Street. It was acutally good. I can't believe I'm admitting that I tried something new (and something I didn't think I'd like) and really enjoyed it. Afterwards, we got lost downtown looking for Innisfree, LOL. We finally found it and went in. Laken was there with Jared and it was great seeing her again. Amy I. was there too!! I hadn't seen her in so long. It was good to catch up and hear about her plans for grad school. After a double Crown & 7 and a beer, we left Innisfree and went to Black Market on 280 near Fox and Hound. It was okay. The drink I got was awesome (peach snapps, vodka, cranberry, etc). The company, not so much. I think that had a lot to do with the fact that I had to be up in less than 5 hours.

Today will go by sooooo slow, but it will be worth it. Everyone is going to Rachel's tonight to par-tay hard. I'm really looking forward to it. I know we will have a blast. ;)

This weekend can NOT get here soon enough. I want to be in Destin with the girls and their men dancing the night away to 17th Floor at The Swamp!!! Deja Vu!! But in a totally great way. LOL!

Holla!

It's SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!

So Hurray for my FAVORITE DAY OF THE YEAR!!!!

I'm so excited that today is St. Patty's Day. It's the one day where I know I will see my favorite color in the entire world everywhere I go. :D Yay! Last weekend was crazy. I had a great night every night, but especially Saturday and Sunday. This week is awesome because today is St. Patty's Day, tomorrow Rachel is havin a par-tay, and this weekend I WILL BE IN DESTIN, FL!!!
I so can not WAIT to be in Destin with Kristin, David, Melea, and Matt. :) Only sad part is that I will be the fifth-wheel. Oh well, it's not like I'm not TOTALLY used to it. It's been that way for WAY TOO LONG.

So, I've heard back from the two graduate schools that I wanted to go to the most. One said "Nope, better luck next time" and the other said "We'll keep you around just in case there's an opening". Woo. At least I have three more schools to hear from. It's just not that great when two of them are out of state. BUT I do want this degree and I told myself when I was applying to all these schools that it didn't matter where I had to go. I just honestly never believed that I would possibly have to move out of the state. SCARY!!!! I've never lived more than two hours from Birmingham and that wasn't a big deal bc it was AUBURN for cryin out loud! Now, its quite possible that I could live 7 1/2 hours away in Lafayette, LA :(

I'm a total mess. I'm stressed to my limit and I'm losing my mind. The day in the Life of Kate the "Kooky" Great. :)
